Cosmic Cave Blob #8

$2,500.00

PLEASE READ FAQ BEFORE PURCHASING. WORK IS AVAILABLE FOR PICKUP ONLY.

A handmade, one-of-a-kind artwork created especially for Cosmic Cave (Going into The Unknown to Find Everything We Thought We Knew), an installation I created for the Riffe Gallery’s Paper Routes: Women to Watch 2020—Ohio show. An interior map is available on the last slide which shows where each particular piece existed in the space.

Materials used: chicken wire, cardboard, newsprint, brown paper bags, card stock, cellophane, mylar, pipe cleaners, pompoms, acrylic paint, glitter, hot glue, school glue.

Weight and dimensions: 20 lbs, 57” at longest x 16” extension from the corner x 16” at widest on shorter side, extends 14” from wall on shorter side x 30” at widest on longer side, extends 10” from wall on longer side.

This piece is built to wrap around a corner. It requires a nail on the right side of the corner, about 2” in from the wall’s edge. Due to the piece’s size and varying wall thicknesses, more than one nail may be needed to secure the piece.

Weight and dimensions are approximate, due to the organic nature of each form’s construction.

These pieces are available for local pickup only. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure pieces can be safely retrieved and transported within two weeks of purchase.

COVID-19 safeguards must be practiced by the buyer upon pickup, including masking (covering nose, mouth, and chin) and appropriate distancing.

I am not responsible for the works once they are out of my possession.

Payment plans available upon request.
